“It looked…surprisingly, not too bad. The chicken and broccoli were only a little bit burnt, and the dust and blood had completely cooked off. It was severely over seasoned due to the unnecessary amount of soy sauce he’d used, but overall much better than his last attempt. Taking a small piece of chicken with his fork, he decided it tasted fine. He wasn’t the best judge for this, since the years of smoking, alcoholism, prescription cough syrup, and eating nothing but the occasional fast food takeout had almost completely fried his taste buds, but it was definitely an improvement from last time he tried to cook.”
