A loud silence follows.
The type of silence that pierces your hearing the longer it stays.
What comes next is a loud ringing, an ambulance echoing faintly from across the city. It fades slowly, giving back the suffocating air it has stolen momentarily.
And with that, Dohoon's long-standing, meticulously built wall of defense blows up in his face.

The information seems to bring no comfort to Youngjae, his white tees wrinkling in the firm grip that grounds him.
“It’s not–” Youngjae huffs, “What if Junghwan-hyung sees?”
The sudden mention of their oldest takes Dohoon aback, eyes blinking rapidly in bewilderment. He scoffs, ignoring the stinging ache in his chest. Is that what it’s all about?
Dohoon had long pondered about their mess, letting Youngjae take the most out of him. He's just hoping that when the time comes, he will let him down slowly.

"Your name was on the list sent out by his next of kin.”
“But—”
“Our kit will be arriving at your doorstep shortly, and the built-in guide will assist you with any further questions. Thank you for your time, Mr. Choi Youngjae, and we’re sorry for your loss.”
When a mysterious package arrives at his door, Choi Youngjae looks back—for the first time in twenty-seven years—on the youth that he spent with his old friend, Kim Dohoon.
