Summary
Arthur –John– and Noel had been walking through the woods for at least an hour or two by now, and they were exhausted. They’ll feel even worse in a few hours once the adrenaline wears off from the ever lingering thought that some enemy was still out there looking for them, but Noel made sure that they were alone. He made sure that this little shack was far enough out from anywhere associated with the case.

Summary
Their hopes of John being able to finally sleep —and with that, dream— fizzled out after a few nights. He would lull Arthur to sleep with his rambling, talking about what he missed about being in the real world, and what he hoped they would get up to. He would slip in pressing Arthur about seeing that movie whenever he got the chance. Eventually Arthur would doze off, leaving John in the dark for a few hours until he woke up; albeit from a nightmare, John brushing his hand along Arthur’s cheek, or simply the sun shining through the window.
One of the first things Arthur would say is if John had dreamt, always being answered back with a grumbled “no”.
To which Arthur, being the optimist, would say “Well, there’s always tonight”.
