Alex’s hatred of Henry had started the way most gym rivalries start—with theft. Equipment theft, to be precise. Henry had stolen the squat rack Alex had been marching toward with righteous purpose. And, of course, that was practically a capital offense in Alex’s book, on top of the spectacularly shitty day he’d already been having. Henry wasn’t just a stranger in compression shorts anymore—he was an enemy. His gym nemesis. His arch-rival in spandex or skimpy little shorts depending on the day.
So the fact that there was now awkward flirting between them was confusing and infuriating and—if Alex were being honest with himself—kind of fucking hot.
