    After being kicked out of her previous school Gina is forced to go to an elite private school where she is surrounded by her worst nightmare: Pretentious snobby rich kids. Her uncle Cash Caswell is the wealthiest man in the city, only rivalled by the Bowens, but Gina and her mother wanted nothing to do with him for his money always came with strings attached. Gina and her mom managed just fine together until the incident. It was the first - and hopefully only - time they had to ask uncle Caswell for help.

    Gina was thrown into a world that she absolutely hated of rich snobs and a century old rivalry between the Caswell family and the Bowen family. And then there was this cute boy with the curly brown hair and the mischievous smile.

    My lungs ached from the air coming up from the glacial waves as I inhaled deep with every stroke. Eyes stung from the saltwater and bones aching from the beating I took with the last set, I craned my head up. Stared in wonder and horror at the behemoth that was barreling up up to the tip of the board. I couldn't dive this one. No shot in hell. Gripping the rails for near life, I let the wave drag me up its forming face. Grit my teeth with a growl as the water kissed me before the beast spat me out on the other side.     It was almost the end of high school and nobody had it figured out. Especially Ricky Bowen. His parents had recently divorced, he had no idea what he's doing for college, his longtime girlfriend dumped him the month before and now he's been replaced by one of the most popular guys in school.

    To make matters worse, he leaves for Europe in two days for his senior trip. The same senior trip that said ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were going on. So, Ricky did what any desperate teenage boy would do to try and get his girlfriend back: he devised a plan. A plan that included the help of Gina Porter and playing pretend for 10 days.
