“What is it now?” Nehan asks. He’s sitting at his desk chair with his legs crossed and a clipboard in his hand. Seox still doesn’t come in. Or take off his mask.
“I’m-” Seox says, eloquent as ever, “I’m ill.”
“You’re what?”
“I-I’m ill. I think I’m sick.”
Nehan’s eye turns back to his clipboard. “And I’m starting to think you should revoke your status as an Eternal if being in a town full of children is enough to inundate you every time you pass through here.”
In which Seox has something to say, and Nehan is very good at not hearing it.

Summary
The surname Jing was one related to unconditional love and misfortune. Unconditional love because the devotion of its members towards their loved ones knew no limits. Misfortune, because all these loved ones ended up having fates worse than death.
After the death of his father, a too young Jing Yuan enters into an arranged marriage with the Dan adepti clan. To protect those who he loves, guided by his own family clan, because of his own selfish desires. What matters is not why Jing Yuan agreed, what the people gossip, but what consequences will bring his actions.

Dan Heng jerked away slightly, his expression going even more sour. “I guess Ren was right, you really were always just cruel and stuck-up, Dan Feng.”
It was clear in that moment that the specter of his past self wished dearly that he still had the spiritual power to crush his successor out of existence if only out of pure rage for his insolence. He had tried, not too long ago– the conversation that he now referenced marking that occasion. But then, as though to once more showcase the similarities between the pair, that flare of fury tapered off into a detached annoyance.
“So is that what he thinks of me...? Don’t invoke him against me while you still lay in the little General’s bed as if it means anything.” Came the musing answer.

Skin to skin like this, Dan Heng basked in his lover’s warmth. He pressed kisses to Ying Xing’s jaw, the slight touch electrifying, addicting. He presses in harder.
“A-Feng… ah-!”
Ying Xing cries out his name, his voice low, raspier than usual. It’s driving Dan Heng insane. Kisses turn to bites, his hands roam over his love’s muscled chest.
“A-Feng… A-Feng…”
“Dan. Heng.”
Dan Heng does not even notice the name until a firm grip pulls him away by his hair. He blinks blearily only to be met with blazing red eyes instead of the violet ones he expects.
“What the fuck are you doing.” Blade, who is very much not Ying Xing, asks. Dan Heng blinks again. Was he real? His eyes fall to where his hand is sunk into the pillowy softness of Blade’s Chest.
He squeezes.
“Dan. Heng.” Blade’s eyes narrow, the promise of violence in his tone.
Ah. Dan Heng is going to die. Again. And its all Dan Feng’s fault. Again.

He may be better equipped than you to help me anyways.” With that, Dan Heng hangs up before Blade has a chance to react, deleting Blade’s number from his contact list.

Dan Heng suddenly gets his period, and with some internet researched advice from March 7th on alleviating the painful symptoms of his sudden predicament, Dan Heng enlists Blade, and then Jing Yuan, to help him with his problem. Though, maybe the hormones are making him feel a bit bratty too about Blade's response.

Jing Yuan looks up at him in surprise, and his blush deepens as he realizes that Dan Heng is serious. "Yes," he says. "Yes, of course. It would be my honor."

He is hardly the only one to notice; three different people attempt to pick the man up as he works his way through his second glass. They are all turned down gently with a friendly grin.
Ren puts down his drink and waves the bartender over. “A glass of your best wine for that table.”
