"Or, you could stay the night here," Carlos offered. At the incredulous rise of TK's eyebrows – because TK had just told him that sex was off the table and he never expected Carlos to push the issue – Carlos was quick to clarify, "Just to sleep."
TK pursed his lips, annoyed, but most of all, incredibly disappointed. "Right. Just to sleep."
Like he hadn't heard that one before, more times than he could count. It seemed completely out of character for Carlos, but it would hardly be the first time that TK had been unpleasantly surprised by his previous boyfriends.
