1. Come into or be in full beauty or health; flourish.Bloom is a slice of life series detailing the relationship of two transmasculine men; Hank Anderson and Connor Stern. While many of my stories feature trans characters, few really shine a spotlight on trans experiences, struggles, and how romantic relationships can be impacted. This is a happy story, with few instances of transphobia or angst. Most of the struggles Hank and Connor face are very much internal based on their dysphoria, insecurities, and troubled pasts, among other things. There will be much focus on their happiness and security in their identities and expression, as well as supporting one another, coping, and healing. While there is a timeline, the installments will be posted out of order (and will later be rearranged) and can all easily be read as standalone fics. Each chapter has a central theme based around a flower.

Hank reaches up to take Connor’s hands, a wordless thing, and sits there at his husband’s feet. Feeling something like a humble pilgrim at the base of a brighter deity. If he leaned forward he could press an ear to the round curve of Connor’s belly hidden under the bib of his overalls, maybe listen to the distant sound of the ocean or the hushed assurance of all his second chances.
