That’s it. Technically, he’s part of the Hall of Fame, technically he’s an accepted Champion. Technically, the title was his once, so it will always be his. Technically, he can’t lose it. He just loses being the present Champion.
He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.
Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

Mannn i love this author's fics
Love the ending of "let's go home". Domestic akaren always gives me that giddy feeling in my heart
Loved the angst and fluff... and how much akaza's come since the very beginning.Shinobu being besties with akaza is something i could picture before because of their hate for douma, but this fic really brought that relationship into life.
When it was revealed she left everything akaza needed for his future as a nurse, and wanted to live to help others too i just felt my heart scrunch up and this pang of sadness for her. But she's done what she hoped to do her entire life, and she's prob with her sis now.
A little something from the final chap:
"It’s a strange thought: exactly a year ago, they had watched the fireworks together too. Akaza had scoffed at him, derisive in the face of what he claimed to be human sentimentality.
...
No symmetrical dark lines ink his face anymore. His hair is a rich black, and while Akaza’s eyes don’t glow inhumanly in the dark, the light on the porch is enough to illuminate the clear blue of them. No unexplainable fury lines the bite of his words, no lost grief in the tremble of his fingers that used to always curl into fists. Rather, Akaza’s expression is open and unburdened as he stares up at the sky."Aaaa akaza not being burdened with anything anymore makes me happy 😌
