If someone had told Anthony Bridgerton at the start of the London season that he would be the jilted groom in a wedding sponsored by the Queen of England, his sister Eloise mingling with political radicals…Well, he’d have laughed in their face and challenged them to a duel at dawn for implying such circumstances would befall a man like him.
In more than a decade of holding the position of Viscount Bridgerton, he had been exceptional at making things go his own way and he was certain that a loveless marriage with the season’s diamond to preserve their social standing would be one of the things he could take off his never ending list. It was his duty and Anthony had always been good at following through with his responsibilities.
