While Taehyung can’t quite argue with his parents that he’d prefer to have another second in command, he’s let Jeongguk know enough times that he doesn’t react now.
“It is important to me. Which is why I think going with you is a good idea. If we are going to work together, we should probably get along.”
Taehyung can’t help but laugh, even if Jeongguk is right. He tries not to think about it too much, always pushing it off to deal with later but he can’t deny that it will be hard to work with Jeongguk when they both hate each other so much. “It’s a little too late for that, Jeongguk.”
Jeongguk lowers his back against the water, looking up at the sky above. “Probably. I can’t quite say I will enjoy being by your side as your second hand, but it is my duty.”

Summary
To solidify the Accords signed between humans, warlocks and dragonborns, Taehyung is set to marry the heir of the most prominent human dynasty: Jeon Jungkook. Everything would be fine for Taehyung if Jungkook was not: 1) human, 2) such a damn brat, and 3) hiding so many secrets.
However, a sinister event threatens the tentative peace and dragonborns as a whole. Nothing is what it seems to be, and Taehyung and Jungkook will have to work together to find the cure to a growing tragedy.
OR
Taehyung regrets his life choices as he accepts an arranged marriage with a brazen human prince who loves to push every single one of Taehyung's buttons. Jungkook, on the other hand, basks in his newfound freedom.

Summary
“Before Soojin passed, she gave me a name. Well, I’m pretty sure it’s a name. An unfamiliar one.”
He’s played it over in his head again and again so he wouldn’t forget it. It isn’t familiar to him, not a name that’s ever belonged to his pack. It must mean something, though. It was the last thing she said before she died.
“Kim Taehyung.”
Alpha looks more upset now than he did when he first approached Jeongguk in the clearing. “He is the one that kept her away from us. He is human, Jeongguk, the boy should not be left with him.”
It comes out like a command, the words spat out. They linger in the air until Alpha’s eyes are on him expectantly.
Jeongguk nods, a slight jerk of his head to acknowledge the statement. He sinks back when Alpha accepts it and extracts the boy from his chest to wake him further.
Regardless of what Alpha wants, he knows Soojin gave him that name for a reason, used the last of her breath to do so.
Jeongguk is going to find Kim Taehyung.

“Jungkook here doesn’t believe the sun will burn him. Can you please tell him that it does so he doesn’t get hurt and become an even bigger pain in my ass?”
Jungkook pushes against his shoulder. “You were just begging for me to stay because you enjoy my company so much.”
Another questioning look on Jimin’s face makes Taehyung consider going somewhere else for the night so he doesn’t have to hear about it.
“Didn’t beg.” Taehyung fixes his shirt in case his position wrinkled it in any way. “Only said that to make you feel better.”
Jungkook scoffs under his breath. “You lie so much and wonder why I don’t believe you.”

Summary
Being an enumerator may pay a decent amount of coin, but Taehyung never gets the luxury of spending his hard-earned coin in places that are luxurious. Collecting data about the general population means he’s often on these dirt roads, flickering in and out of towns, villages, isolated communities, with only his horse for company.
But, he was warned about this village by the barkeep that couldn’t help himself from spilling such…well, Taehyung hasn’t quite got the word for how the male delivered such gossip. Not quite sadistic, but the male certainly enjoyed trying to spook Taehyung with tales that have supposedly come from the village he’s to stay in for the next few weeks.
However, it’s hard to take such gossipy rumours seriously when you are well equipped with the knowledge of a village’s history of who has been born, wedded, and died.
