No matter how much the Rebellion kept them busy, they would still find the moments in between where they could fall into each other and remind themselves what it was they were fighting for. There was still a lot of fighting left to do. All the more reason to indulge in a little stress relief from time to time.

‼‼ MAJOR spoilers for the ending of route 0 ‼‼
Takumi levels him with a small, creeping smile. “Aotsuki,” he says, voice grating and low as he advances with his sword in hand. His face is almost fully enshadowed, backlit by the purple fire raging behind him. His eyes glint like jewels in the darkness. “Look at you.”
Eito scrambles backwards, but Takumi is too swift; he raises his weapon and swings it towards Eito’s neck, pressing, digging into the flesh. He looks terrifying, and smells of predatory instincts coming to a head, and Eito feels afraid. Like a little animal skittering away from its death; faced with the black shroud that hangs over everything that’s ever lived, desperate and searching. It yearns to be filled, but its stomach is bottomless. Takumi’s expression is, for once, unreadable.
Eito is scared to die.
Eito has what can most easily be described as 'a nightmare'.

“You don’t,” he replies simply, and holds his hand up before she can fire back. “But, you don’t have much of a choice. Neither do you have much to lose. And I am willing to let you go, for some willingness in your turn. Especially when I know you’ll just come back to pick a fight tomorrow night. True?”
She takes a deep breath and feels the stirrings of a mistake brewing.

It feels intrusive, too intimate, and a little spike of shame pinches at Sylvain’s chest. “Do you want me to leave you alone? I can go, uh...sit in the bathtub or something.”
“If you need to go,” Dimitri says, his voice far away. “I...certainly wouldn’t blame you.”
“Most stubborn guy I know, really.” Sylvain steps forward, kneels at the bedside to look at him. “What do you need? Do you need me to go?”
To his surprise, Dimitri relents and shakes his head. “No. Stay, please.” His voice is winded now, and he’s pressing his thighs together in a weak attempt to stave off what Sylvain knows is coming. “You know what happens. You can...talk me through it.”
[Dimitri gets sex-pollened by some devious village girls. Luckily, Sylvain is there to help watch over him.]

Summary
This was no fairytale meeting. After all, if it was, he would have answered you on your first letter instead of your forty-third, and the envelope would smell just like him—or what you imagined he would smell like—and the letters would be much more elaborate and gorgeous than the scrawl on the threatening letters they’d shown on the news, and he would be confessing his love to you, telling you that he’d been waiting for someone like you, someone different from the vapid, brainless whores that were surely piling on him in droves.
But it wasn’t anything like that, and that was okay. The envelope didn’t smell much like anything, and the letter was written quite hastily. Far from a love confession, the first line of Adachi Tohru’s letter made your heart skip a beat in a different way.
What the hell’s your problem?
