Summary
“You’re gonna tell me you’ve felt nothing? Nothing from these last ten months?”
Robby feels like he could die. If Dennis pulled out a gun and shot him in the street Robby would let it happen and bleed out right here on the pavement. He almost wishes he does.
“I’m twice your age, kid. Doesn’t matter what I’ve felt.”
Dennis frowns, “M’ not some stupid kid.”
“I’m your boss.”
“No, you aren’t.” His voice has some jagged edge to it, harsh, “Not right now. Not tomorrow, or the next day. Not next month. Do you even plan on coming back, Dr. Robby? Or do you plan on getting killed on that fucking bike.”
-
After a chaotic day at the Pitt on the 4th of July, the crew goes out for Javadi's birthday and to celebrate Robby's sabbatical. Dennis especially needs a drink after how Robby has been touching him after he got whacked in the head by a patient.
Robby later finds himself driving Whitaker home.

Summary
Sore, aching hurt blooms, fresh and angry, and Dennis pulls back his hand with a sharp hiss just as the curtains rattle and Jack sweeps into the room.
His handsome face is already set in a scowl and he honestly looks kind of pissed off, but then his gaze finds where Dennis’ hand lingers against his abused throat and it gets so much worse.
“What the fuck?” Jack hisses and stalks over.
OR;
Dennis gets a little bit strangled during Street and is positive he's ruining date night no matter what Trinity says. Jack and Robby reacts accordingly.

Summary
Dennis finds himself driving a rented Jeep Wrangler through a small beach town in northern Italy, on his first ever adult vacation and his first time outside of the U.S. full stop. He can't stop smiling to himself even with the jetlag. As he merges off a roundabout, he pulls into a large parking lot outside the shopping district. He's eager to check out the shops, maybe grab his first gelato of the trip, but food is the priority; he hasn't eaten anything since his shitty airplane meal and that had been hours ago.
He picks a place at random; he's starving and he figures the trattoria filled with chatting patrons on the patio should be a safe bet. He shyly nods when the hostess asks him if he'd a like a table for one in her slightly accented English.
Just as he's about to sit down, he hears a startlingly familiar voice from behind him.
"Holy shit. Whitaker?"
Dennis whips his head around— and, yep. A very sunkissed Dr. Michael Robinovitch, wearing aviator sunglasses and a loose linen button-down is staring at him in disbelief.

Summary
Robby was beginning to remember why he rarely watched porn. Everything felt so over-the-top and staged. He was desperate, though, so he scrolled idly until he saw a video that made him pause.
It was titled “Virgin Farmboy Gets Fucked X2 (moaning) (threesome) (POV)”. The title wasn’t what stopped him; what stopped him was that on the thumbnail of the video was a very familiar man with light brown hair and big, droopy eyes.
OR
Robby finds out that Whitaker had a brief stint in amateur porn during his early med school days. He handles this maturely.

Summary
It’s a pattern that Robby’s grown comfortable with in his flings; in week one he’s all in, but by week seven he’s itchy and ready for things to end. He’s never had a relationship clear the fifty day mark and it’s fine—that’s exactly how he likes it.
Enter Dennis Whitaker.
