Summary
Tsukishima sees pain like others see freckles — mapped across skin, unavoidable. Emotional trauma becomes physical in his vision, a permanent haunting he can’t shut off. Kageyama, proud and aloof, wears more scars than anyone Tsukishima’s ever seen.
Kageyama, in turn, feels emotions like a burn — raw, unfiltered, overwhelming. A single brush of skin is enough to drown him in someone else’s sorrow. He avoids contact like a shield.
But then they touch.
And Kageyama finds silence.
And Tsukishima sees himself.
Two boys, cracked open in ways they don’t talk about, begin to see — and feel — what no one else ever could. This isn’t healing. Not yet.
But it might be understanding.Bookmarked by pizzadinosaur

Summary
"Tsukishima relishes in the tiny bloom of pink whenever Kageyama looks over and finds that he’s already being observed. Maybe at first, they did hate each other in their own way, but soon it was acceptance, then it was synchronicity, then it was friendship, and then it was something else."
no one knows what they're like when they're alone, but that's what makes it so special. their best-kept secret.

Summary
“Then explain why, Tobio-kun, instead of Kageyama, what is written on your paper instead is ‘Tsukishima?’”
There is silence inside the faculty office. So, Tsukishima tries to put Kageyama out of his misery because the boy looked two more words from Tachibana-sensei away from falling dead flat on the floor unresponsive. He gets straight to the point, not wanting to drag this out any longer lest he joins Kageyama in his trembling.
“Sensei, if I may speak; Kageyama asked for my help for this homework because he wasn't able to answer it in time. The bell rang before I could walk him through the lesson, so I just told him to copy the answers directly from mine. In his panic, he must have copied my name, too.”
or: Tsukishima and Kageyama bond through long walks, homeworks, and occasionally shit talking their classmates.
