And yet, there he is: standing there like he owns the place, red uniform with two pips on the collar, his hair (long, so much longer than the last time Flynn saw him), in a neat ponytail.

It had started as a way to get Flynn to think about himself, for once. Or maybe to get him to take a break, or maybe as a fun challenge because Flynn can’t resist those. Yuri can’t actually remember when the idea had come, or really even what made Flynn agree to it.
He hadn’t really expected it to land him at one of the nicest restaurants in the city, in a little private room, lit low, with champagne on the table that hadn’t had a price and Flynn on his knees under it.

“This is Mako,” a familiar voice finally crackles to life in Wu’s ear, professional and serious as always.
Wu let’s out a sigh of relief and immediately says, “I love you,” without really thinking about it because it’s been a month and a half and he hasn’t been able to tell Mako that.
