Batman dies saving Red Hood.
Jason Todd doesn't agree with this outcome and wishes for more time.
He wakes up, thirteen and earnest, in his childhood bedroom in Wayne Manor. Bruce is knocking at his door in an attempt to rouse him. Jason remembers this day. They're going to a Gotham Knights game later in the afternoon. Bruce's blood is still warm and criminal on his hands.
‘“Have you ever thought about that?” Jason murmurs. “Being rich in time?”
He feels Bruce’s fingers carding through his hair again. “It’s the most precious commodity of all. It’s priceless. It’s the one thing that I wish I had more of. You don’t have to worry about that, Jay. You’re fifteen. You have your whole life ahead of you.”’
Or, the one where being Robin never gave Jason magic—he was a little magic all along. Jason decides to do things a little differently the second time around. Wherein time casts a spell on them, and Bruce learns you can never forget or get away from the sound of someone who loves you.

i really did binge this all in a day (an entire afternoon and evening... no regrets!) and I still don't feel like I've fully digested the story (there were so many lovely gorgeous plot threads that wove in and out and in and out... and I'm only now stepping back to admire the whole tapestry). but I think this is one of those fics where I could come back and read it over and over again and find something new to obsess over.
(there's an irony here about timeloops and how it seems I might find myself stuck in one, if you look hard enough)

(“There are tree spirits,” Minghao says, sounding numb. “I would ask if you were on crack, but then again, I just saw you explode into flames, so really I should be asking myself that question.”)
In the winter, Minghao meets a boy on the streets, who tells Minghao that 1) he's never had pizza and 2) he only exists in the physical plane for a total of ninety-six hours before he and memories of him are wiped off the earth. In the summer, Kwon Soonyoung is dragged into a scavenger hunt to summon a wandering spirit, based on some very reliable graffiti on a convenience store wall.
Spoiler alert: these two things are very, very much related.

had me hooked from start to end, and then some. it's the most gorgeous ending I've ever had the pleasure of reading... i am so easily charmed by the paranormal
