Summary
“You goin’ to bed?” Ryuji asks, pulling Akira’s thoughts from where they’d drifted in the silence. Akira tilts his head slightly and smiles.
“Depends. Are you?”
“Mmm…” Ryuji stretches out, languidly, like a cat. He’s not often very catlike in appearance or behaviour, but he has his moments, particularly when he’s a little tired like this. It’s endearing when it happens, and it makes Akira want to card his fingers through Ryuji’s hair, so he does so, that fond smile from earlier escaping and parting his lips. “I could, or… I could stay up for a little bit.”
Playing coy, Akira thumbs over Ryuji’s cheek and raises an eyebrow. “You have something you need to get done first?”
Ryuji catches on quick, his own lips crooking in a grin. “Y’could say that.”

“Fuck you,” Nanami spat. The tears pushing at his waterline caught the light making the amber of his iris shine through. “You can’t possibly ask me to leave now. Fuck. You.”
Nanami shoved the check back at Gojo.
“Goddamnit Kento, listen to me, I know you don’t want this life,” Gojo said back. His throat had that familiar tightness. The one that promised cracking and tears.
“Fuck this life, fuck this system. I don’t care about that, I care about you.”
