Mike’s expression shutters for a moment, before he seems to pick up on the fact that Will’s joking. “Oh, shut up,” he grumbles, rolling his eyes. “If you want to date an anime nerd, then by all means—”
“Well,” Will says, heart still hammering in his chest. He tries for a smile, but he’s not sure he quite manages it. “No one else is offering.”

Summary
Mike shakes his head a little too vehemently, flustered under Will’s stare, at their closeness, at everything about him. ‘No! I don’t – of course people change, I just . . .’ He shakes his head again. ‘It’s stupid.’
‘No, it’s not stupid.’ Will’s hands trail down Mike’s arms, and it takes everything in him not to shiver. Will takes his hands and swings them slightly, back and forth. ‘You’re right. People do change. It’s just how we deal with it that matters.’
‘And . . . how do we deal with it?’ Mike whispers, hating the way his voice comes out all rough and scared. Will’s eyes slide up to meet his, and the corners of his mouth tug upwards in a tentative smile.
‘I want to hear your story.’
// or, Mike actually doesn't hate Spiderman. He just hates everything about him.
He also doesn't know that Spiderman is Will. But that's a totally different story.Series

Summary
“I’m tired.” Mike muttered, lying back down against Will’s bedsheets. He smoothed out the front of his hoodie, wincing slightly as his fingers brushed his aching ribs. Motherfucking binder.
Will shifted next to Mike. Will was close. Like really close. Mike turned his head to the side, surprised to see Will already staring at him.
Mike swallowed thickly. Will was looking at him with those eyes- and- oh Jesus, he was too pretty. “Hi.” Mike whispered, like the idiot he was.
“Hey,” Will smiled, bringing a hand up between them to brush a strand of hair from Mike’s face. Mike froze, shivering. His heart thudded in his chest, seconds away from exploding.
“Do you. Uh-” Mike started, then stopped. Will was drifting closer. They lapsed into an electric silence, Mike forgetting about his aching ribs or the fact that Will’s family was right down the hall. Fuck that.

"Um. Right," he answers, sort of forgetting what the question had been. He's too busy watching Will's face under the bright kitchen lights, gaze catching on his cheekbones, on the pretty pink flush against his tanned skin, on his lips- "Right, yeah."
"Right," Will echoes, staring at him like he's grown a second head or something, which at this point would probably be the least weird thing to happen to Mike in his sorry excuse for a life, "To- um. To which part?"
Mike tears his eyes away from Will's lips, feeling a bit dizzy. "What?"
Will looks like he doesn't know whether to hit him again or check him for a head injury. "I asked," he says slowly, still frowning at him, "If you wanted to do this to make your guy jealous, and if you were using the Daniel thing as an excuse, because I don't even like him, really, and- uh."
"Oh," Mike says, clearing his throat quickly and bobbing his head, "Um- yeah, something like that."
In terms of plans, this might not be the worst one Mike's ever had. In terms of execution, well- there might be room for improvement.
