“No man in the closet is going to get you,” he says as calmly as he can. “Don’t you know that spooky things stay away when the baby sitter is around?”
Riki gives him a skeptical look, hugging the back of the couch cushion even closer to his chest. Jungwon watches them intently, hands back in the pumpkin, orange strands hanging from his cheeks. From far away they look like clumps of spider eggs growing out of his skin, and with Jungwon’s dark, unblinking boba eyes, Jake feels unnerved looking at him. He shifts his gaze back to Riki.
“You promise?” Riki asks at last. “Promise that nothing bad will get us.”
“Of course I promise.” Jake holds out his pinky, the most sacred of all promises. Jungwon even gasps at the gesture. “Nothing bad is going to get you.”
Or: Jake wants to get through this night of Halloween babysitting in peace, but his best friend, his crush, and the strange guy that seems to be following him around are making it very difficult.

Sunghoon’s eyes drop to Jake’s stomach. It’s a reflex, honestly. He can’t see anything through the shirt, of course, but he’s sure Jake looks good. Toned, even. He’s pretty serious about staying in shape when he wants to be, so Sunghoon knows his muscles must look pretty defined right now. Good for him. Sunghoon’s been kind of lazy about hitting the gym lately. Maybe he can ask Jake to go with him once they’re back.

Jungwon is one of the few people who can remember their past lives, and Jongseong has been in too many of his. That doesn't make saying I love you any easier, though. If anything, it only makes it harder.

Tired of struggling after his first semester, he takes his friend up on the advice of actually using the school library to work.
Enter Lee Minho, with his soft hair and pretty voice and his eyes that hold the galaxies in them. If he was only pretty, Jisung might've gotten away with just a fleeting crush. Unfortunately for him, Minho is funny and kind and quickly figures out that the fastest way to Jisung's heart is through his stomach-- and by being an attentive friend.
So in short, Jisung's screwed.

Mingyu suddenly punches Minghao in the arm to get his attention. Before Minghao can so much react, they’re in front of a rickety, wooden booth. Scribbled at the top of the booth was a sign in all caps that read: KISSING BOOTH! IT’S ONLY A DOLLAR, AND IT’S FOR CHARITY! And sitting at the booth was arguably—not even arguably, but factually—the prettiest boy Minghao had ever seen in his life.
“Hi.” The boy smiles at him. A tattered, nametag was pinned to his shirt: Junhui.
