"'Your crush, who was it?' Mike asks again, unwavering and unforgiving. It’s blinding, suddenly being the sole focus of Mike’s attention, partly because Will has grown unused to it, but mostly because this question feels heavy. Pointed. Mike isn't making conversation to kill time; he’s on a mission.
Still, Will tries to dodge. 'Is this really the right time? The world is literally ending, in case you hadn’t noticed.' He tries to inject as much sarcasm and irritation into his words as possible, but he knows he falls flat. He can hear how breathless he suddenly got, the way he’s gasping between words. He’s half afraid Mike can hear his heart slamming uncomfortably against his ribs.
Mike doesn’t miss a beat, doesn’t even look abashed for a second, and keeps pressing on him with a shrug: 'Well, we’ve got nothing to do until Dustin radios, and who knows how long it’s gonna take, so… who was it?'"While awaiting to go fight their last battle in the Upside Down, Mike finally asks Will some questions.

All of the kids are laughing now, some big inside joke that Mike is the butt of. He feels sick. He feels something he can't place.

Summary
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it,” Mike protests weakly, but Will ignores him. “You need to rest, yeah,” he continues softly, swallowing audibly at the thought of Will’s fingers on him again.
“I want to take care of—” Will mumbles, fumbling for gauze and bandages, his focus wavering. Mike notices the flush creeping up Will’s cheeks, bright and vivid against his otherwise pale, tired skin. And it warms something inside Mike, just a little, because Will wants to take care of him.

Robin’s grin stretched slow and wicked. “Only to me. Because I understand. He doesn’t know, don’t worry. Because that boy? Dense. Like, heroically dense. Historically dense. Scientists are going to study him.”
Will huffed, cheeks burning. Will’s eyes darted involuntarily to the centre of the room. Max and El were squished together on an armchair. Mike was sprawled on the carpet with Dustin and Lucas, waving his arms around dramatically as he argued about which Star Wars film was objectively the best. His hair was a mess. His cheeks were flushed. He was smiling.
And Will felt that stupid expanding warmth in his chest that he couldn’t get rid of no matter how hard he tried.

Post-Vecna, Will and Robin continue to bond. Robin knows Will likes Mike. Mike thinks Will likes Robin.
One jealousy spiral, several misunderstandings, and a lot of pining later… they finally kiss.
