Summary
Struggling through a strange, hostile town while attempting to locate the President’s missing daughter, Leon begins to doubt his ability to complete this mission. He's never been able to save the people he's cared about before. The people he's cared about have never bothered to stay before. He’s very aware attachments only exist to break his heart. So why then, does he find himself growing closer with the smooth-talking Luis Serra? It’s bound to end in disaster, especially when one of you are shackled and not really sticking around voluntarily.
Aka. What if Luis and Leon stuck together after the chain scene? How would such a simple, single event change things?

Leon cannot stand to admit defeat as willingly as Luis is, cannot stand the idea of just letting the man die from a wound Leon should have been strong enough to prevent.
So, he does the only logical thing, despite everything.
He saves his life.OR
A conversation between Leon and Luis, after he gave what he assumed to be his final speech. He did not factor in the stubborn nature of Leon S. Kennedy.

Leon hasn't slept since he deployed on this assignment and its beginning to drag at his performance even in something as simple as walking in a straight damn line. he can feel his exhaustion slowing them down, knows that before long, he'll be endangering the mission with it.
Luis turns out to be a better guy than he had originally assumed him to be, with his cocky attitude and his obnoxious nicknames... and his warmth, and kindness.OR
Leon S. Kennedy finally gets a nap, because passing out from a plaga in your system doesn't count as sleep.
