Summary
How could he cheer up? His teeth had glinted in the moonlight when he'd rounded on the shorter man, spitting the question like a petulant child.
He'd been confronted with Javier's face, far closer than he'd remembered him being. The man had cocked his head like a coyote seizing up a particularly energetic rabbit, the dark of his eyes far more encompassing, far more feeling, than John had last seen them by the campfire. It was as though even out here, with only the two of them beside the blue-soaked shore, the flames had remained in the musician's gaze and he'd captured them, held them like the burning tip of a match. Except the stick didn't seem to be burning out in Javier, no. Instead, it seemed to flare at John's reaction, his smile far too sharp to be truly kind, as he held up four bottles of whiskey captured in the gaps of his fingers. A promise. A question.

It prickled along his skin, setting it aflame with sparks of energy, and it perpetually left his hackles raised when he could scent the savage's mere scent. A thrumming, throbbing presence like the headache of whiskey-days and hefty-punches, left bruised inside and out and yet feeling utterly placated. That's what the fight did to you. Burned out all the emotion, the feeling you couldn't grasp at with any turn of tongue. There was only fingers curled into claws, teeth bared and sharp, eyes blazing and snarls a coughing, staggering drumbeat to the hits meant to wound. Meant to pain. Meant to wrought the other with agony. To batter into some semblance of submission- ah, yes, that was one of the good parts. But, regardless of who came out with the least lost, you always came out better.
But the coyote was a constant threat.
Javier was a constant threat.

Summary
Axl had been pissed about the strippers attracting more attention than him. In Izzy's eye, that was a ridiculous petty shit to throw tantrums about. However, he supposed it does come with some perks, as the redhead had gotten more provocative with his dressing. The downside was that Izzy found it to be incredibly distracting.
