Except Eddie was still smiling at his phone dazedly like the Cheshire Cat, so lost in joy, Joy, JOY, that the next thing Buck knew, Eddie was leaning in to kiss him briskly on the lips with an, "Alright, baby. Just lock up."
Buck froze. Dumbstruck as he stared after Eddie, who was distractedly rushing out the door.
"I'm sure Frank will set me straight. I'll be sure to let you know if I have any big revelations."
Or, Eddie has no idea he's shown his cards and Buck makes it his mission to get Eddie to allow himself to be happy.

Chim and Maddie drank again, and so did Hen and Karen. Eddie and Buck were still looking at each other, until Eddie was the one to look away. Instead, he pulled his feet up on the armchair and tried his hardest to not think about the images popping up in his head.

"Never have I ever stayed in a relationship I was not feeling anymore." Hen's voice got quieter with each word. "Damn, those questions are deep," she tried to lighten the mood, which at once turned sour as Buck lifted his glass up to his lips.
