Summary
Luffy for his part, has been content in his drunken haze. Now he shifts, sitting cross legged in Zoro’s lap and looking up at his face. His hat is sitting a bit to the side, within reach but out of danger of unruly rubber limbs. Usopp would almost find it a bit cute, the flush on his captain’s face and the adoring look in his eyes. Then Luffy opens his mouth and ruins it.
“Zoro’s pretty. I wanna bite him.”

Summary
The heavy sword stroke falls on his unprotected back, which he’s instinctively turned in order to keep his eyes on Luffy. He feels the blow land heavy right below his right shoulder blade, barely managing to coat the area in Armament in time to avoid being cleaved neatly in half. It doesn’t fully stop the blow, but he barely feels the steel biting into the flesh of his side.
They make eye contact, captain and first-mate, and in an instant the woman strikes. Zoro sees Luffy’s eyes go from being alight with the adrenaline of battle, to stunned, to something approaching absolute horror. And then Luffy stumbles.
