“I know, dude. We got him off death row, remember? Eduardo Sanchez killed that one guy, not him. Remember?” He repeats himself, voice slightly unstable.
“No, Mac. He was on death row. The prison— they executed him an hour ago.”

He couldn’t help himself. If neither God nor Dennis would punish him for his sloth, he would have to do it himself.

Summary
“I stopped within a couple feet of him. His lips slightly parted as he looked up at me expectantly….fucking gorgeous.
Then, just because I could, I slapped him. Not hard, just enough to leave a light pink hue on his cheek.
He whined like a fucking kicked puppy, staring off to where his head whipped to a couple of seconds before he looked back at me.”

Summary
“Come on, Mac,” he tells him, “That stupid trick with kissing your hand doesn’t work, a hand isn’t the same as another mouth. And I can show you how to do it right.”
"Bro," Mac replies, "I'm not going to kiss you."
“You’re not gonna kiss me,” Dennis supplies, “You’re practicing.”
Or, when Dennis finds out that Mac has never kissed anyone before, he comes up with the perfect plan on how to teach him.

Summary
A pointless argument between Mac and Dennis escalates to a hole punched in the wall, and Mac's knuckle bruised and bloody. Mac doesn't know what they're doing anymore. Maybe it's time for him to do everyone a favor and stop existing at all.

Summary
It’s clear now that pain is not a means to an end. It just exists, and lives longer the more you remember. And Mac remembers everything. Every look that wasn’t met, every word ignored. Every time the lit end burned. He doesn’t need the scars to prove it. That cigarette is still burning. The ashes are still blackening his hand. They never stopped.
Or, Luther dies and Mac questions himself and the nature of reality.

Maybe it was good idea that Dennis checked in on Mac, even if it was so late.
