The farmer does strange things, but at heart, they're good, or at least, trying to be good. With difficulty. Because the truth is, they do weird things. Really weird things. And those things are terrifying, but deep down, the townsfolk of Pelican Town just have to accept that they aren't in real danger. Probably.
They will accept the farmer for who they are. It doesn't mean the farmer is going to make it easy for them.
