Summary
The coffee shop/bookstore AU you didn't ask for, and probably don't need. Frieren runs an unsuccessful bookstore (mostly because she refuses to sell the books) but stays afloat because of the coffee shop inside the store. With top notch coffee and questionable baked goods, the Gilded Grimoire is her pride and joy. Himmel, returning from a long war, is in search of peace, good coffee and rare books. Its a cute-meet in the making - if Frieren can be persuaded to actually sell a book.

Because, frankly, he’s starting to realise he doesn’t know the answer.)
“Okay,” Kendall lifts Stewy’s hand away from his head, presses Stewy’s palm against his lips, and something uncharacteristic in Stewy’s chest clenches itself (he’s not stupid, he’s really not). Brings it down to his chest and locks their fingers together. It’s a little awkward, given their positions, but tender, and there’s really nothing more apt to describe the way Kendall knows to show his affection. “Okay.”
And that’s all.
Or: Kendall, Stewy, and complicated airflow.
