“I think I’d like to go home.” She whispered.
Astarion dragged his eyes away from her lips, surprised.
“Certainly.” He gently nodded. “Would you like to gather your things first?”
“I don’t know if I want to go back there.” She said, waving her hand behind her in the direction of the palace.
Astarion smiled sadly.
“That is a sentiment I can get behind.” He said, taking her hand. “Off we go then.”
Ophelia Nydoren had aspirations of being a big name in Baldur's Gate, and for a little while, everything looked promising.
Her life would soon be on a very different path. And Astarion would be the catalyst.
Fic starts at the beginning of Act 3, has a multi chapter spanning flashback, and will very much divert from canon at that point, but definitely pick up some of the story beats from the end of the game.
