“yeah, yeah, yeah. i'm coming.” sam picked up the few pieces of mail resting on top of the ceramic bowl that housed his keys, thumbing through a few briefly before returning them to the table and shutting the door. “you know, at some point you have to respond to those people,” he said while bucky twisted a key into the lock then tested the knob to ensure it was secure. “those are court mandates. you don't want to play around with that shit.”
bucky glared at sam.
“careful,” sam twirled his keys on a finger as they entered the elevator down the corridor, “keep staring at me like that and i just might think you got a little crush on me.”
bucky scoffed and crossed his arms against his chest. “yeah. you wish, wilson.”

“I won’t laugh.” Bucky straightens out both his back and his expression and scoots closer, knee colliding with Sam’s own. He keeps it there; it feels hot and solid, even through the kevlar. “C’mon, I promise. Just tell me.”
Sam turns it over in his head for a long moment. Swallows hard. Rubs his palms across his thighs.
“Okay,” he says, looking away. “Do you believe in ghosts, man?”
Bucky laughs, the asshole.
Sam has been haunted all his life. This is the first time he's ever thought of telling anyone about it.

Priest assumed I’m gay
I ran into this priest that I went to confession with a bit ago, and he started what I assume was hitting on me and insinuating that my Freddie Mercury inspired mustache and the fact that I substituted a juice bottle for water makes me gay? Huh. What does juice have to do with my sexuality? I’m straight! I was even wearing a tank top, which is like the straightest outfit ever.
