Kazuya’s playful smile fell slightly as he focused on Eijun, heart picking up its pace. It was rare for Eijun to stop shouting in favor of communicating his feelings more earnestly, but he supposed if it was going to happen at all, now would be the perfect opportunity.
“Back then,” Eijun said, averting his eyes briefly as he looked to the side, “before the match against Inashiro…” Eijun frowned and Kazuya saw the way his hands curled into small fists. “You said that you were going to go pro.”
Kazuya’s heart jumped with surprise. His eyes widened, honestly dumbfounded. Eijun was too stupid to be a mind-reader—how did he predict what Kazuya wanted to talk to him about?

All for the sake of energizing the nation, she says. Last year, she was voted favorite female announcer of the year, so she’s clearly doing something right.

Kazuya’s lopsided smile stretches into something boyish. “Yeah?” he breathes out, catching Eijun’s hand with his gloved one. “Does the tall, dark, and handsome vibe do it for you?” he asks. “Or is it the gloves?”
Eijun swallows thickly, dropping his gaze down to where Kazuya’s hand still holds his. “The gloves are a nice touch,” Eijun admits.

He’s still smiling, something small and a little shy, with flushed cheeks and mussed hair and very, very kissable lips. “Pushy,” Kazuya teases, fidgeting with the material of Eijun’s pants stretching over his knee. “Fine, okay. For each bone you get right, I’ll give you a kiss.”
Excitement blossoms in Eijun’s belly. He grins and pokes Kazuya in the middle of his chest. He’s got this. He’s going to get so many kisses. “Sternum,” he announces, eyeing Kazuya’s mouth expectantly.

Eijun scrambles upward, glancing over her shoulder at the door. “Yeah, mom!” Eijun manages to say, voice rough and scratchy. “We’re just, um. Watching a movie!”
Kazuya knees Eijun in the side. What a bad excuse. There’s a pause on the other side of the door before Eijun’s mom responds. “…Okay, honey,” she says. “There’s hot chocolate downstairs if you want some.”
“Thanks, mom!” Eijun returns, glancing at Kazuya, catching her leg. “We’ll get some in a bit.”
“We’re watching a movie?” Kazuya hisses quietly as they both let their heart rates calm down. “You’re the worst liar,” she says, cheeks burning.
Eijun pouts and pokes Kazuya in the side. “I didn’t see you coming up with a better excuse,” she accuses, and then her mouth curls into a smug grin, eyes roaming down over Kazuya’s body. “Considering you’re the reason we almost got caught,” she teases. “With all the noise you were making.”

When Kazuya agreed to go home with Eijun for Christmas, she hadn’t quite expected how happy it would make Eijun.
So happy, in fact, that they almost get themselves in trouble.

Kazuya squirms and clears his throat, trying to stop the sudden race of his heart. His hands feel clammy, skin hot, prickling. “What are you, a cannibal?” Kazuya croaks, shivering when Eijun’s lips glance over his ear. “You monster.”
“Shush,” Eijun responds childishly, and then Eijun nips at the shell of Kazuya’s ear in rebellion. “I’ll show you a monster.”
Kazuya’s skin tingles beneath Eijun’s teeth and he bites his lip to stop himself from groaning. There’s something about the weight of Eijun’s body on top of his, sturdy and warm, something about the prick of pain followed by a wave of pleasure, something about feeling cocooned by Eijun, cradled.
