The winds of change are blowing. Having said goodbye to AAA, the now-graduated A class faces their biggest challenge yet — leaving the comfortable nest and entering the real world.
And the world has plenty of challenges. How does following your dreamy career hold up against the trials of the industry, with its grind, grifts, and gargantuan scope of competition? How do you measure your own progress when there’s so many new ways to rate yourself beyond grades and roles — and so very many new people to compare yourself with? Is it possible to truly support a friend in a cutthroat reality, or does that little voice in your head full of envy speak for you as a whole? The A class knows damn well that in real life, there are no rehearsals — so how do you keep that from driving you absolutely mad? Does anybody actually know who they are? And God, how does anyone have a stable relationship in the midst of all of the above?
In short? Welcome to college. Welcome to adulthood. High school is over for our beloved ensemble, and the next phase of their lives is guaranteed to be a rollercoaster. But we haven’t hit their final bows yet, so let the curtain rise for Act 4...

But she’s not upset with Lucas. She can’t be. She’s worried, for sure, but that far dominates any disappointment or hurt she might be feeling. Even through his coolness, how aloof the turn on her appeared, Riley could tell he wasn’t doing it intentionally. He wasn’t trying to hurt her, and she’s confident that if she had articulated it better or quicker or known the right thing to say, he would have regretted the possibility of coming across that way. Most people might not give him that credit, that he isn’t deliberately malicious, but she knows better.

Summary
Senior year promises to be an experience like no other at Adams Academy for the Arts. For the A class, it’s a hard-earned final victory lap. There’s excitement, over carnivals and elections and epic showdowns. There’s more opportunities than ever. And at last there’s unity, the seniors finally sharing camaraderie just in time for their last year in the walls of AAA.
But it’s not without challenges. Old wounds are still healing, none more prominent than the gap left by a conflicted transfer. Many are recovering from past choices, while others struggle to accept the impending change of the future. Questions permeate everything: How do you define yourself? Are those definitions outdated, can they be something else -- something more? Is it okay to feel confident in who you are, in your purpose -- or is it naive and begging to be shattered? What does it take to define that sense of self, before everything inevitably shifts? What sacrifices do you have to make to let other people in, to commit… knowing that it might be futile when the future comes?
Without a doubt, the A class’ final run is guaranteed to be worth watching. As the Adams curtain rises one last time...

Summary
AMBITION is fic, written in script / outline format, that basically reads like a television show. So the series is structured into seasons and episodes (chapters), and me and Esther (my co-creator) brainstorm and build and outline the entire show as if it were a television show on network or streaming (considering we both want to be writers in the future). The world was loosely inspired by characters from Girl Meets World and Boy Meets World, but I cannot emphasize enough that you do not need to have seen either show to read AMBITION. We have readers who have no prior attachment to those shows, and they love it just the same.
So it’s kind of like… well, it’s a story. That reads like a television show. And in some ways acts like a web series? And incorporates music, as it’s about a performing arts school. It’s somewhere between the structure of Glee but the story content of… your favorite well-written teen drama, let’s say. It also includes careful exploration of mental illness, different experiences of the queer community, and of course, theater kid realness.

Season 4 ends in 2022. Season 5 picks up in 2027. As you can imagine, a lot can happen in that span of time -- especially in your 20s. Friends break up, friends get married; strangers get born, strangers get buried…

Of course, we aren't going to just tell you. What would be the fun in that? Besides, that's not what it's really like trying to keep up with your friends, is it… it's more like trying to finish a puzzle. Grasping at clues from Instagram updates and word of mouth from a friend of a friend; glimpsing a moment or overhearing an exchange and wondering what oddly-shaped piece of clarity you missed.
