“Richie’s weird with his snacks but Eddie can gobble them up whenever he so pleases,” Stan taunts as he keeps his eyes to the board, trying to figure out his word. “Hey guys, you think I can spell ‘Favorite’ with my letters?”
Eddie whips his head to Stan. “What?”
Ben plays along, leaning in to look at Stan’s letters. “Hmm. Well you don’t have a ‘T’. How about ‘favored’?”
Eddie frowns.
“You could always just write ‘Eddie’,” Mike grins too. “It’s a synonym.”
“Yeah but that’s a name,” Stan says faux-serious.
“What about ‘favoritism’?” Ben teases with a smile.
“Ha ha ha,” Eddie mocks. “You’re all very funny. Richie just lets me use his things because I’ve been living with him. He knows I know what I can and can’t have. Unlike you menaces.”
“And what can’t you have, exactly?” Stan teases. The others chuckle.
Eddie deadpans. “Richie doesn’t have a favorite.”

definitely one of my favorites, a solid recommendation for anyone who likes fics that has the losers pointing out to eddie how much richie likes or favors him! old men being domestic husbands without even dating. 10/10, would read again for serotonin boost ♡♡
