Summary
The kicked puppy look Buck had been sporting almost made Eddie feel a twinge of guilt for freezing him out. Except Christopher was traumatised, Shannon was dead and Buck filed a stupid lawsuit which took him out of their lives right when they needed him the most. He had every right to be angry about that, Buck was simply reaping what he sowed. So what if he was acting a little out of character, that wasn't Eddie's problem.
Until it was.
Until little by little what made Buck, Buck was stripped away.
Until his anger morphed into fear for his friend's life.-
Or
A story that runs along side my previous one 'Don't do it again.' only this is Eddie's point of view.

Summary
There's a beat of silence. A smile blossoms on Buck's face. It starts with a twitch at the corner of his mouth, then spreads inwards. He purses his lips, almost like he's trying to contain it, then gives up and lets it bloom into a brilliant smirk, crooked and devastating on his warm lips. He cracks open one eye, the left one. The smirk creases his birthmark. It's the same shade of pink as his lips, the same color as the lightning scar.
"Oh yeah?"
Eddie clears his throat and frees his own sandwich from its plastic prison. "Eat so you don't collapse. Save us both the trouble."
He can still feel Buck's eyes on him. "I don't break that easily."
Or:
Chris is 800 miles away, and Eddie's house feels emptier than ever. As always, Buck is right there, ready to have his back, to catch him without hesitation if he falls. This is familiar, this is normal, this is the way they've always been.
This is fine, until it isn't.
Until Eddie finds himself drawn to Buck in ways he never expected—ways that might not be so new at all.- Language:

Summary
“You’re such a charmer. Do you normally chat up strangers at a strip club?”
“Who says I’m trying to chat you up?” Eddie calmly asked before finishing his drink.
Buck had an extremely amused look on his face as he tried to stifle his laughter. He was extremely confident as he challenged Eddie by simply looking at him, waiting for him to crumble, blush, and admit that he was.
But Buck’s ego was knocked back when Eddie didn’t even bat an eyelid. He was composed as he whispered with the bartender things Buck couldn’t hear, making him curious if the other man was flirting with him because he needed to know. So when Eddie eventually laughed and turned back to him, Buck was visibly shocked that he was seeing and learning nothing from Eddie's reaction.
“Are you not hitting on me?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
