Summary
-- "I will be leaving this vessel when we arrive at Dargonus." Solomorne stated officially. "The Rogue Trader is missing and we do not know when, or if, she will be back. I was assigned to continue with her while her goals were aligned with mine, but now I must take my leave and carry on with official Adeptus Arbites duties, as it is clear this ships current goal is only directed toward the finding of its captain."
As the last words tumbled out he clenched his jaw shut, biting so hard on his cheek he tasted metal. He knew it would sound harsh. As well it should. He was abandoning them and pulling away his resources at a vulnerable time. He reminded himself again and again that this was the will of the Lex - duty above all else. Above himself. Above his feelings. He swallowed down the bitterness rising up and again tasted blood. No, he couldn't keep chasing a dream. He was a fool for allowing himself a glimpse of one. --
A deeper dive into the events that led Solomorne, a man only born to serve, to the brink of destruction and what pulled him back out again. A look into the 'relationship' between him and the Rogue Trader as told through current events and flashbacks.

Summary
Pasqal Haneumann has known neither affection nor regret, each deemed a flaw by the Machine God’s sacred design, yet finds both returned to him in the form of one whose presence was never meant to inspire such deviation, nor to bear meaning beyond utility. Upon coming face-to-face with Kassard von Valancius—a Rogue Trader whose presence bore the weight of authority and the quiet terror of inevitability—the likelihood that he would remain unchanged was statistically negligible. For what awaits him now is not choice, but a most painful uncertainty: the kind of torment reserved for those who were never meant to feel, and yet can no longer claim to be untouched.
Kassard von Valancius was not born to command, but to survive—first as a daughter of war, then as a weapon honed by sorrow and silence alike. What the Munitorum dismissed as softness became strategy. What her mother feared as empathy became the exaction of haunting levels of manipulation. Beneath her Rogue Trader’s seal lies not inheritance, but a history written in ash, circuitry, and the hands of a custodian who refused to let her be discarded. But it was Pasqal Haneumann who marked the fault line—he was never meant to love, and she was never meant to be loved.
