    Mafioso leaned forward again just enough that Elliot could smell the faint mix of cologne and smoke clinging to him. “I wasn’t suggesting cards, doll.” His voice dipped lower, steady, deliberate. “Just a drink at the Casino with me. That's all I’m asking.”
