His heart is pounding in his chest like an erratic drum as he presses his lips against Sakura’s under the vast expanse of starlit sky.
The moment is soft, filled with the rustle of leaves and the distant murmur of a nighttime breeze. His fingers trace the outline of her cheek, tasting the warmth of her skin.
It’s in that stolen breath between kisses that Sasuke feels it - a subtle, electric buzz coursing through him. He dismisses it, attributing the sensation to the charged atmosphere of the night.
He doesn’t notice it next time again.
