Después de la gloria llega la caída.
Shen Qingqiu, un gran señor que acabó en la desgracia por culpa de su envidia y pecados acumulados a lo largo del tiempo, fue llevado ante el nuevo emperador, quien no tuvo consideración al volverse a encontrar con su antiguo shizun. La persona que más quiso y que odió durante muchas décadas. El tiempo transcurrió, sin embargo, la nueva vida entre las paredes del palacio imperial empieza a ser una tortura con cada segundo que transcurre.
Luo Binghe ha debatido con su propia consciencia. No sabe si perdonar todo el daño que Shen Qingqiu ocasionó u obligarlo a continuar con la vida que le asignó desde el momento en que estuvo frente a él.
Han pasado demasiados inviernos.
Quizá... la vida así es más satisfactoria.
