    Summary

    This is an alternate universe Babylon 5 flight of fancy. The story uses a few bits of TV canon as touchstones, but if your imagination is chained to canon, you may not like it. I went completely off the reservation and, except for those touchstones, I literally threw canon (and the books) in the dumpster. The relationships and conspiracies portrayed here never existed or existed in very different form in the B5 universe.

    Action takes place in Season 3 after "Ship of Tears” and prior to “Zha’ha’dum”.

    There is an ancient hew-mon saying that states "you can't take it with you". It's supposed to warn hew-mons from focusing on materialism and profit. This is idiotic. The Ferengi believe not only that you CAN take it with you, but that the more you take with you the better.

    Quark can't physically or mentally take Odo into the next life, but damn it all if he isn't going to try. Odo agrees, because there is no way this whole "reincarnation" thing can be real right.

    Right?
