"Pretty kitty," Zoey murmurs, and Rumi can feel her new ears twitch and swivel to pick the sound up as clear as day. The fingers on her face brush against the short furs of her muzzle with a tenderness and reverence that Rumi had only ever dreamed would ever be directed at her.
Half-demon. Patterned. Claws, fangs, fur. A monster.

Summary
"Stay," Rumi growls to Zoey, a command laced with so much power that the maknae would be hopeless to disobey it.
The half-demon saunters across the room until she's toe to toe with Mira, who holds her ground at the approach. Rumi stops half an inch away from their noses touching, and she hates that she has to tilt her head upwards to look the other alpha in the eye.
"Mira," she manages to get out while holding herself back from just taking what she wants. "Do not mess with me right now."
"Why not?"
Rumi snarls, but doesn't touch. "Because I will break you."
Mira just smirks again. "You're welcome to try, pup."

Summary
Despite being an omega, Rumi has never spared alphas much mind before. Their scents ranged from "mildly pleasant" at best and "rankishly offensive" at worst, in her opinion. The fact that over the span of a few hours she has met two separate alphas that smell like every meal she's ever wanted and never gotten to eat? It's almost suspicious.
Logically, she know's that no one is going to pop out with cameras and a sign saying, "You got pranked! We manufactured your exact types from your diary entries, and put holograms at your new job that's supposed to be a fresh start." That would be ridiculous.
The warmth of Zoey's hand is far too real to be an illusion, after all.

Zoey nearly chokes on water mid-swallow. Her head shoots up to look at the black haired boy. “No, wait, I was kidding! You are my best friend. My best friend in the world who needs to tell me everything right now.”
Zoey briefly laments how predictable she is. Her crush on Princess Mira is not a very well kept secret.
Jinu smirks. “The king posted a decree an hour ago. His daughter’s hand in marriage is to go to whomever slays the dragon up at Honmoon Peak, along with a title and a considerable sum of land.”

Rumi looks between the two of them. “Share the details with the class, please. My best guess is breath mints.”
Zoey grins. “Nope. It’s weed.” She waggles her eyebrows conspiratorially.
“Wait, like…” Rumi’s voice lowers instinctively, and she adds, “...marijuana?”
Zoey nods sagely. “Gwi Ma’s Lettuce, if you will.”

"The doctor told me the mood swings could be a bit rougher now that I'm completely off contraceptives.” And maybe other symptoms would be heightened as well. Zoey could feel her pulse in her throat and she felt sweaty. Not the horny kind, but the angry kind. “Will still punch him the next time I see him.”
“Okay let's switch topics, because no contraceptives anymore? Do you want to tell me something, lil sis?” Now he genuinely sounded like his usual self, a grin in his voice.
Zoey blushed, taking Rumi's pajama shirt and bringing it to her nose, then rubbed it over her neck for a second.
“Yeah, uhm, we talked about it a few weeks ago, and we decided that we want to try… y'know.”

"Rumi, love, shut up." Mira's hands had moved with purpose, pulling her hair behind her head and into a severe ponytail, but now they hesitated, running over Rumi's shoulders, almost like she was worried. "You know you can talk to us, right?"
"I know I can, but--"
"We saw you," Zoey blurted, face immediately flushing red at the admission. "We saw you shift back. You were a wolf, then you were a girl. Um, a woman."
"A very naked woman, I might add," Mira added dryly.
"Oh."
