Summary
It was all over. The monstrous plague on Hawkins was gone. They could see the light at the end of the tunnel — why was Steve shielding his eyes?
Maybe it was the tug he couldn’t ignore, drawing him back to Eddie’s chewed-up, lifeless body lying just a few miles away. He’d be left behind for the demogorgons to pick apart. Just another sacrifice.

Summary
Like most small towns, Hawkins is quiet and uneventful. Like most movies about small towns, the peace is a cover-up for a huge secret. The people who live there claim it to be Hell on Earth, and really, they’re not too far off.
Every year, someone from Hawkins dies in a freak accident. Nancy Wheeler, along with the rest of the town, thinks it has something to do with the curse that befell the land in the 1600s. Nancy is the only one who cares enough to prove it.
With an old spellbook and a stubborn personality, Nancy plans to take down the curse herself. At Chrissy Cunningham’s party, she finds herself three unlikely allies: her ex-boyfriend Steve, Robin from the marching band, and Hawkins’ resident freak, Eddie. Four unconventional teenagers don’t seem like an ancient curse’s worst nightmare, but times change.

With Steve's retreating figure came a tidal wave of terrifying thoughts.
What if Steve died? What if Eddie died? What if Dustin died, and it was Eddie’s fault? Steve would never speak to him again — if any of those things happened. He had to do something, before they went their separate ways. Now or never.
“Hey, Steve?”
