Summary
"Mike."
"Yeah?" Mike pulls back slightly and Will's eyes flicker down, watching as he sucks his bottom lip into his mouth.
He doesn't know what to say; he's not sure he even knows how to breathe.
"Strawberry," Mike says after a moment, his voice wavering.
"What?"
"The flavor… is it strawberry?"
or:
Mike and Will play the chapstick game, the line between friendship and something more blurring as they do whatever it takes to win.

Summary
Will Byers lives a quiet, solitary life as a children's book illustrator, helping bring other people's stories to life—fixing lonely trees, drawing impossible worlds, and leaving pieces of himself on pages no one will ever know he touched.
Then, one cold night, he finds a stranger collapsed outside his apartment building. A young man who can't speak, pale, exhausted, and little more than skin and bones.
Will only means to offer him a warm place to sleep. A meal. A shower. A few days to recover.
He doesn't expect Mike to stay. He doesn't expect to learn how to understand him without words. And he certainly doesn't expect the silent stranger in his home to become part of the story Will has been trying to remember his entire life.

Summary
“So he is just… in my life,” Mike said with disgust as he noticed how pathetic the weight on his chest felt. “In my house. Using my face. With Will.”
The cleric’s expression tightened. “Your friend.”
“My best friend,” Mike corrected too sharply. The moment the words left him, the flare of jealousy turned into embarrassment. He couldn’t remember when he grew to hate how he sounded when the subject was Will.
William’s gaze held steady. “Do you not want him there because you fear for your friend, or because you fear what your friend might feel?”
Mike’s mouth opened, then closed. The question hit too close to the thing he’d been circling for years without touching.OR: Mike wakes up in a paladin’s body, face-to-face with a cleric who looks exactly like Will, except this Will speaks in oaths and shows him a kind of affection he doesn’t feel he deserves.
Back home, someone else is wearing Mike’s skin, saying the things Mike has never dared to say out loud.

Summary
Mike Wheeler does not like to be fucked in the ass.
But he currently is. Metaphorically, spiritually, and, as far as his living situation is concerned, quite literally.
He’s being fucked over by the rent prices in the East Village. He’s being fucked over by the pollen count currently turning his sinuses into a war zone. And most importantly, he is being fucked over by the man currently standing in his living room—a man who looks exactly like him.
A man currently kissing Will’s knuckles.
"Kill me," Mike whispers into the collar of his Mudhoney sweatshirt. It smells like three-day-old American Spirits and tragedy. "Just kill me now."
or:
In a grimey 90s East Village apartment, Mike and Will are beating the "world's most repressed roommates" allegations until THE Paladin!Mike moves in and starts to treat Will like a sacred relic. Jonathan is being a total freak behind the lens, recording the whole disaster for a thesis project that’s basically just him being a professional voyeur/hater of his brother's love life.Bookmarked by raybull4ever
