Summary
Set just after Fatma’s engagement to Yigit, in a world where Asporca, instead of immediately declaring war against Orhan, quietly sharpens her knives - preparing both for the Turks and the enemies within her father’s court.
Orhan does not trust the princess either. He sends Alaeddin and Fatma to Iznik to secure a trade agreement and to keep an eye on Asporca. Fatma and Flavius are trapped in the same castle, hurt, angry, and forced to work side by side to uncover plots in the palace - all while mourning the love they once had.
And as if that wasn't enough, Flavius - plagued by dreams of his father’s dagger and memories he tries to dismiss as stories - begins to question who he is and where his loyalties lie.
