“Eddie, please.” It was the same voice, sounding a bit closer now. Possibly more panicked, but he couldn’t be sure. If this was death, perhaps this was whoever was taking him.
So Eddie obliged, eyelids slowly cracking open. Above him was an angel. It had to be, at least, he reasoned to himself, because no demon or grim reaper would look nearly this nice. His vision was fuzzy around the angel, but he could make out pretty dark eyes, a strong jawline, and pink, soft-looking lips. A barely-there smile cracked on Eddie’s lips at the familiarity.
“I knew angels were s’posed to be pretty,” he murmured, words lagging together ever so slightly, “but you look just like Steve.”

Or, Eddie thought he was dead, so it didn't matter that he spilled his secret to the pretty angel taking him to heaven.
