He knows it’s for charity. But since when did Tommy do charity work?

Eddie snaps his gaze from Tommy, to Buck, to the sea of audience members flooded around him. The sea of judgement, of faces that could contort into symbols of mockery of his religious guilt, framing his fears in the room all around him.
But Buck. The way his mouth is slightly parted on the stage, eyes locked on Tommy and his paddle, on his power over him. Tommy already had his chance. He already had him.
Eddie would not let it happen again.
OR eddie diaz gets jealous when tommy appears at the auction and bids $8,003 on buck, so he does something about it.

Summary
Really, Eddie doesn’t care that the PTA aren’t his biggest fan. He knows he misses too many meetings, and it’s not like he’s best friends with any of the other parents. It doesn’t affect Christopher, so it doesn’t bother him. He’ll pay for the annual fundraising mugs and consider his duty done.
But then Buck picks Christopher up from a class trip and it all goes to hell.
Like, of course Buck is everyone’s dream guy. He’s responsible with kids, and kind, and funny and interesting and hot to touch. That’s obvious. But now Eddie’s fighting to keep the PTA moms, teachers, and dads, all off an unsuspecting and tempting Buck.
Because Eddie is a good friend. Right?

Buck wrote them all a letter.
One to Maddie, saying he loves her and he’s sorry.
One to Hen, thanking her for always being there.
One to Chim, asking him to take good care of himself and his family.
One to Chris, explaining why he won’t be around anymore.
And one to Eddie, which somehow ended up being the shortest.
Or Buck tries to kill himself after Bobby’s death. Eddie is heartbroken, slightly seething, and he just doesn't understand.

But then a paddle goes up, and an oh-so-familliar voice follows. "Eight thousand and three."
Buck's gaze quickly finds the redhead. Eddie tears his eyes away from Buck for the first time since he walked on the stage, because that voice sets alarm bells off in his mind.
"Going once, going twice… sold to the redhead back there! Wait, is that Taylor Kelly?"
Eddie didn't need to hear that to know it's her. Clearly neither did Buck. There's a wicked smirk plastered on Taylor's face, and she sends a small wave in Buck's direction. Maddie raises her eyebrows at Eddie as he seems like he's about to boil over with… anger? jealousy? She wasn't too sure. She wasn't too surprised either.

Summary
Margaret and Phillip spent years not seeing their children and then slowly got back into contact with them until this point, where they think they’re in a pretty decent place, actually.
Except then Buck gets injured and, as his hospital room fills with evidence of a life they know absolutely nothing about and they meet and hear about people they’ve never heard of (including a child?!), they realise that perhaps it was all simply too little, too late after all.
