Summary
Zoey and Mira are friends. Best friends. *just friends,* as they so often have to remind everyone around them. When a forced collision on a rush hour train causes a physical reaction between them, everything they've ever known is forced into question.
Can they resist the pull? Or will this one moment of inexplicable attraction ruin everything?
--
Mira dips her head forward, just slightly. Zoey can smell the peach iced tea on her breath, could almost lose herself in the warm, dark pools of her eyes. “You should stop me. I don’t know… I don’t know if I’ll be able to stop myself, if I let myself have this.”

Summary
"You've got good taste," Mira said before taking another sip.
Zoey glanced around to make sure both of the other passengers had their headphones on, then lowered her voice even further. "I've been told I taste amazing."
Flight attendant Zoey is outrageously flirty and extremely bored, and she's going to make it the problem of two very attractive and surprisingly receptive passengers.

Summary
It was like watching a puppeteer pull all of Harrow’s strings simultaneously, Gideon thought; the little hagette stood straighter, though not taller- she was still five foot nothing, more furious purse dog than shaking purse dog- but she nodded firmly, once, before turning to Cam.
"Very well,” she said. “Marry me, Camilla.”
A vicious spit-take on Gideon’s part translated to one exceptionally high eyebrow in Cam, but nothing more.
“Like I said,” Cam began carefully, “I’m married to Dulcie, and unfortunately, polyamory is not recognized under the UCMJ. I can’t marry you without her losing her benefits.”
Then, because Cam was the absolute worst, she shrugged and said, offhandedly,
“Why don’t you marry Gideon?”- or -
Harrow needs health insurance, and Gideon needs Harrow (to not be a dick.) What better way to provide for them both than a little light fraud between frenemies?

Summary
“You know Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I…” Rumi’s fingers toyed with the edge of her notebook. She hesitated, then smiled certainly—like she’d made a decision. “And I—well, would you maybe—”
Mira didn’t let her finish.
The words tangled in her chest, sharp and panicked. She could already hear it—Jinu this, Jinu that. Some request for help picking something romantic. Advice she absolutely did not want to give—at least, not without a solid week to prepare herself. The idea of sitting there, nodding along while Rumi talked about her boyfriend, made something twist painfully in her chest.
“I’m so sorry.” Mira blurted, already shoving her chair back with an uncomfortable scrape. “I… I didn’t realize how late it was. I really have to go.”
__________
OR: Mira being oblivious while Rumi repeatedly hits her over the head with the "pls ask me out" stick. And then they fuck about it.

Summary
They loved each other. All three of them. It didn’t matter which season it was; their love would remain.
In the clarity of spring, when the air around them was filled with the scent of rain, their love was there. A hand offered at the right moment, laughter shared across the room, the way they came together in each other’s presence. In the hot, long, unrelenting days of summer, their love was there. It shone in sun-warmed afternoons, in the brush of their fingers, in their shared glances. In the impermanence of fall, their love was still there. Finding warmth in each other’s presence, falling leaves mirroring shifts in their lives, quiet evenings spent together. In the harsh and silent winter, their love was still there. It was in bundled arms against the cold, the shared mugs of something hot and sweet, the solace in each other against the starkness outside.
