Summary
His eyes strain as he finally sends the text to Jake. He paces a bit, having too much excess adrenaline. The warm June evening that carries the scents of fresh flowers does little to settle him. He just admitted to the seventeen-year-old that he may be harboring feelings for Jack. Because he is. Because he has.
His phone buzzes in his hand. He scrambles to unlock it to squint and read the text.
“I’m ok, brother. I was sleeping. A little confused all around about this, and how I can help, but hell yeah! Rock on. That sounds great. Who is the lucky person? I guess let me know what I can do.”
There’s a sudden ringing in his ears. His vision flickers, and then seems to grow distant. Tunnel vision. His fingers are tingly. His phone slips from his hand.
I just texted Jack Abbot the confession. I just confessed to him by accident, thinking it was Jake. He knows.

Summary
Robby isn't entirely sure how they got here. There were bodies crowded against each other, drinks burning the back of his throat, Abbot teasing, loud music— a quick blowjob in the bar bathroom. And then Dennis— med student Dennis who worked under them in the ED for four weeks— was following them home. Abbot's arm was wrapped around the boy's shoulders, his other holding onto Robby's hand. There's no fanfare when they get back to Jack’s place. No awkward exchanges in the kitchen, no small talk. Jack gets Robby's knees feeling weak by devouring his mouth against their front door. Dennis' eyes are on them the whole time. Watching, waiting. Once Robby is thoroughly kissed, Abbot steps aside and drags Dennis forward. Kissing Dennis isstrange. His lips are soft and taste of vanilla chapstick. He's nervous, unsure. Unlike Abbot, who knows what he wants and takes it. It's almost instinct for Robby to hold the boy's face still, keep him steady as he molds Dennis' mouth to his own. Teaches him what it means to truly kiss. It's Dennis that pulls away first, cheeks red, lips slick, and gasping for air. His blonde curls were tousled, his blue eyes wide— he was the perfect picture of a depraved little angel.
