Summary
When Luz was six years old she returned from her friend's house wearing a dress as happy as a child could be. Her parents didn't like it, they attacked, she fled. Stumbling into a world beyond her wildest dreams a witch took her in, and became her new mother. Eda was very protective of Luz, keeping her mostly sheltered in The Owl House, with Luz only occasionally leaving to deliver potions or do essential business. Luz yearned to go out and make new friends, but Eda said no. "It's too dangerous" she would say. And in the past Luz has listened, but that can only go on for so long.

Summary
Luz warps from a deep sea of dead things and illusions to wake in her reality. She sees and hears the Titan speak. She becomes « special », by pure, random chance. A chosen one of sorts, like she would have once wanted.
Only for that one naive wish to be marred by the stained hands of the ones that were once before her.
Includes awesome(?) eldritch powers, consequences of actions hitting you like a cascading sac of bricks, and overly deep magic-worldbuilding.
Rated mature because of the litteral depiction of the naturally dark setting of the Boiling Isles, that can become unforgiving and cruel. See the Archive Warnings. You’ve been warned.
This fic starts just at the end of S2e10 because that’s when it began to be written.
