Summary
Many Wiccans believe in reincarnation. Gawain never has in particular; too many Joan of Arcs and Cleopatras out there by far. If he was ever someone before he came to this life, he doubts he was anyone important.
In this life, he's got enough to worry about. There's the ongoing dismal reality of having had to move home during the covid pandemic, the fact that he may never get another job at this rate. Balancing his nosy sisters, his family farm, his mother's growing eccentricity, his relationship with his lovely but distant (and very Christian) uncle Arthur. Fretting about the hole in the sleeve of his favourite yellow hoodie, whether Essel is going to kick him off her Netflix account when she inevitably gets tired of long distance and breaks up with him, whether it's a sign of his own incipient mental breakdown that he's choosing now to get back into witchcraft.
Add to that his recent encounter with his mysterious neighbours, and it's a surprisingly full plate for someone with no real demands on his time, no plan, and no real idea where his life is taking him.
