Summary
Yuri gaped at the video of the glittering young Japanese man in disbelief, physically unable to pry his eyes away from his laptop. He hit Play again. And again. And then once more for good measure, until his rage boiled over.
Eventually his mouth managed to close, resetting itself into a scowl. His juice box was by now long forgotten, the straw dangling precariously from the punctured foil, ready to capsize out and over. He was too resentful, too stung by betrayal to notice.
Sitting across from him, his partner merely shrugged in reply, seemingly unfazed. Perhaps even slightly amused, which was entirely uncalled for.
“Well, now we know that he’s more than qualified.”
***
Set in the world of competitive ballroom dancing, Yuri learns about his role model’s past and is not happy. At all.
Can be read as a stand-alone.

Summary
It was no secret that Viktor Nikiforov came from a well-to-do background and didn’t have to bother with teaching as a source of income to support his competitive lifestyle, like everyone else had to. And it was also no secret that he was currently “between partners”, which meant he was on this west coast teaching tour for one reason only—he was bored. It was an insult to the profession, to the hard work other dancers put in every day, for someone so uncommitted to charge nearly twice as much per lesson as the rest of them. Watching the Russian work Phichit with his easy smile and coquettish hair flip, Yuuri decided with all certainty that, no, hate was not too strong of a word.
***
A canon-esque ballroom AU with a twist. Basically, what might happen if YOI was set in the world of competitive ballroom dancing instead of figure skating.

Summary
Yuuri blinks at the screen, too confused and overwhelmed to read the rest. Another deep breath and he puts the phone down, intending to close his eyes, but they betray him, drawn to an unexpected glint on his right hand. With no time to process its meaning, they dart to the sound of someone emerging from the bathroom. Yuuri's jaw slacks. He finds himself wishing for a panic attack, because that would likely be better than the sheer terror he currently feels from watching the approaching figure. Victor Nikiforov. Correction: a very naked Victor Nikiforov.
“Good morning, Yuuri!” Victor is practically glowing. Yuuri freezes and shuts his eyes, feeling a kiss land on top of his head. “Did you sleep well, solntse?”
***
Victor and Yuuri both get drunk at the Sochi GPF banquet and wake up in bed together the following morning—wearing wedding bands. Neither remembers eloping.
Victor is overjoyed. Meanwhile, Yuuri has other feelings.

Summary
Yuri stared at the flower, utterly paralyzed, ignoring Viktor’s scandalized, “Oh my!”
“What the fuck is this?” My eyes aren’t beautiful .
Without wavering, Otabek continued to hold the flower out. “I call it a tulip. As well as an offer of friendship.”
AU in which Viktor is a florist looking to start a family, Otabek is a flower vendor dreaming of home, and Yuri is an orphan wrapped in seven layers of teen angst that he can only get out by screaming profanities and shoving flowers in people's faces.

Summary
Where Yuuri remembers the banquet, Viktor forgets, and Yakov Feltsman has his own plans.
“I’ve been made aware of your recent break with Celestino Cialdini, and would like to offer you a trial period where you train under me, in St. Petersburg. There are only three conditions: you will board with another one of my students, you will take ballet with Madame Baranovskaya, and you will help me coach Yuri Plisetsky, who refuses to listen to my criticisms of his spins.” Yakov nods at this point, leans forwards and looks Yuuri in the eye. “I will charge no coaching fees.” With a deal like that, even if it means he has to face Viktor again, Yuuri has no choice but to agree.- Language:

Summary
In an alternative universe, Yuuri has just won the GPF at Sochi — and he’s miserable. He lost everything that mattered to him several years ago when a tsunami hit Hasetsu, and after throwing himself into his skating, he’s achieved gold, but the win is hollow without others there to share it. Things change when he’s transported to another universe, where GPF champion Victor Nikiforov is about to drown himself in the Black Sea. According to legend, only those with a deep connection can draw someone from across the universe. But Yuuri and Victor have never met before in their respective worlds; perhaps someone out there knew how much they needed each other.
Written for Yuuri Week 2017, with each chapter based on the day's theme.

Summary
"When I get away from skating, two L words come to mind, Life and Love. I've been neglecting both for over twenty years." - Victor Nikiforov
Victor makes friends with depression before he knows its name, grows up with the ghost of it in his bones, gets acclimated to the chill. He's a changeling's child, a chameleon; he makes himself into all the things people want. He's acclimated to his winter life, cold and stark and glittering success.
He has everything a person could possibly want. There's no reason for discontent.
That is, there's no reason for disconent until Katsuki Yuuri tumbles into his arms in Sochi. Suddenly the lies Victor has told himself about his own happiness for years are pouring through his fingers like sand and the things he doesn't have at all are thrown in stark relief: he has a career and no life; he has a passion and no love.
Or: a retelling of those twenty years of neglect, that one night in Sochi, and why the season that gave both of those things back to Victor Nikiforov was the one he spent being Katsuki Yuuri's coach.

Summary
Yuuri could probably go on and list the things that were missing from the life they built together in Moscow—broken in half and picked apart like the remains of their shattered hearts.
[or: Yuuri and Viktor's marriage fell apart and they gave up. Fate, however, says otherwise.]Bookmarked by rhinestonekitty
