Summary

Alastor pressed the call button for the elevator, smirking over his shoulder as he waited. “I have a feeling about you.”
“A feeling about me?” Vincent’s brows pinched together. “What kind of feeling?”
“That you’re not as much of a guppy as that pin of yours implies. Time will tell, though.” The elevator doors opened and Alastor stepped in. He gave Vincent an affirming nod. “Good luck, Mr. Whittman. Don’t let those sharks smell blood on you.”
As the doors closed, Vincent’s fingers fiddled with the pin. “It’s… a goldfish.”
Alastor finds a spark in newcomer Vincent Whittman that he wishes to nurture.
